The summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It offers you a mixed experience of lively natured and charming Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama-religion. Surrounded by tea gardens, this little town has some of the highest peaks of the third Highest mountain Kanchenjunga.
Day 01: Kakarvitta-Bagdogra – Darjeeling
Arrive at Kakarvitta or Bagdogra Airport, transfer to Darjeeling.
Day 02: Darjeeling
Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) followed by Mountaineering Documentary Show (subject to operation), Zoological Park, Tea Gardens and Tenzing Rock. Later visit the Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, Ava Art Gallery and Rock Garden. Free time in the evening.
Day 03: Darjeeling – Pelling
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to enjoy sunrise on the Kanchanjunga Ranges and visit Battasey loop. Proceed to Pelling. En-route enjoy the view of Tista river and surroundings. Arrive in Pelling in the evening.
Day 04: Pelling
Visit Rimbi falls, Sewaro Rock Garden, Kanchanjunga Waterfall, Khecheopalri Lake and Pemayangtse Monastery.
Day 05: Pelling – Gangtok
Proceed to Gangtok. enroute visit Rumtek Monastery, and Rope Way Ride late afternoon visit Flower exhibition show and Tibetlogy.
Day 06: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Gangtok
Visit Tsomgo lake. (In case of Tsomgo lake not accessible we will visit the Sampdruptse Stupa at Namachi village – Namchi, meaning ‘Sky High’, nestled among the hills at an elevation of 5,500 ft commands panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains and vast stretches of valley). Afternoon free time. Enjoy local folk dance followed by a get together in the evening.
Day 07: Gangtok – Bagdogra or Kakarvitta
Departure to Bagdogra or Kakarvitta
Proceed to Bagdogra or Kakarvitta for onward journey.
